Our beautiful outdoor pool complex has a zero entry activity pool with lots of attractions, and an 8 lane pool that is used for fun and fitness. Vending machines, tables, chairs and umbrellas are available for your summer enjoyment on a first come, first serve basis.
• All children under the age of 12 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT 18 years of age or older.
• For their safety, all children under the age of 14 must be swim tested and wear a wrist band at all times when in the pool to signify swimming ability.
• For their safety, all children under the age of 14 who wish to use the slide will be swim tested.
• Members may bring their own lounge chairs.
• Members may bring their own food and Non alcoholic beverages. No glass containers allowed.
• Food and drink must be consumed in the deignated eating areas.

May 28th - June 5th:
Monday - Friday: 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

June 6th - September 5th: 
Monday - Friday 11:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

****Beginning in August the Outdoor pools will close at 7:30 p.m. for safety reasons due to the lack of sunlight****

Swim Test Policy
Please know that all members 14 years of age and younger are required to complete a swim test and must be wristbanded prior to swimming in any YMCA of Delaware Pool. At the Bear Glasgow Family YMCA members can be issued a green, yellow or red wristband.

Once a child is swim tested their name and birthday will be kept on file at the Bear Glasgow YMCA for one year. Members may pick up a wristband at the guard station at our outdoor pool or from a lifeguard at our indoor pool.

Swim Test:
(1) Demonstrate one length of swimming on your stomach without a flotation device and your face in the water as frequently as possible. (2) Tread water for 1 minute. (3) Test may be taken ONE TIME PER DAY.

Wristbands: Red
• Any swimmer who does not demonstrate the above mentioned swim test
• Any swimmer who does not want to be swim tested
• Lap Pool:
- Any swimmer who cannot stand flat footed must be within arms reach of a responsible adult (16 years of age or older) and must be in a Coast Guard Approved Lifejacket
• Family Pool:
- Any swimmer who cannot stand flat footed with their chest out of the water must be within arms reach of a responsible adult (16 years of age or older) and must be in a Coast Guard Approved Lifejacket
• Slide:
- Red banded swimmers may not use the slide

Wristbands: YELLOW
• Any child who does not demonstrate horizontal movement for 1/2 length of the pool and/or tread water for 30 seconds while being tested
• Lap Pool:
- Yellow banded swimmers may only swim in the shallow end up to the safety rope
• Family Pool:
- Any Yellow banded swimmer may swim anywhere in this pool.
• Slide:
- Only Yellow banded swimmers over 48 inches tall may use slide

Wristbands: Green
• Any child who can swim one lap of the pool demonstrating horizontal movement with face in the water as frequently as possible and tread water for 1 minute.
• All green banded swimmers may utilize any part of our pool when open during their visit.
• Slide:
- Green banded swimmers may use slide regardless of their height
