GIANT STEP preschool program
Registration for Giant Step and Mid-Day Fun Club for the 2008-2009 School Year began in March. Please call for availability.
The GIANT STEP Program is for children ages 2 years old to Pre-K. The Program includes weekly swim lessons, large motor skills, dramatic play, music class, Spanish class, arts and crafts, giggles, games and lots of fun! The school year begins in September and ends in May.

LUNCH BUNCH
The Lunch Bunch program is offered to our Giant Step children who want to stay and have lunch with their friends. Children will socialize and enjoy being with their friends while eating their lunch. Children will need to bring their lunch from home. This program is offered at both Giant Step locations (Brandywine YMCA and Buzz Ware Center). Six-day Lunch Bunch coupon books can be purchased at the front desk.
Days/Time: Mon – Fri 12:00 noon–1:00 pm
Fees: $25 for 6 Lunch Bunch sessions (per coupon book)

MID-DAY FUN CLUB
The Mid-Day Fun Club is the perfect program for children ages 3 and 4 years who are getting ready for a full day of kindergarten or who just need an extended day of activities! The day consists of outdoor play, arts and crafts, large and fine motor activities, science, and reading in a mixed age group setting. Children will have a scheduled nap/rest time each day. You can choose two, three, or five days a week. September through May.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT SCHOOL’S OUT PROGRAM - fall
The School’s Out Program offers morning and afternoon care for children attending kindergarten through 6th grade. AM care is from 7:00 am until school starts. PM care is from the end of the school day until 6:00 pm.
Morning Care: 7:00 am – start of school
The School’s Out program offers morning care from 7:00 am until school starts for children attending kindergarten through 6th grade. The before school program has sites at many of the Brandywine School District schools. Children are given the opportunity to play games, do puzzles, read, participate in art activities, and socialize with friends. You are welcome to send in your child’s breakfast.
After School Care: End of school day – 6:00 pm
The School’s Out program offers after school care that begins at the end of the school day until 6:00 pm for children attending kindergarten through 6th grade. With your child’s interest in mind, this program offers many new opportunities to build new friendships, make crafts, play indoors and outdoors, participate in clubs, and much more. An afternoon snack will be provided. An emphasis on the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility is evident in everyday programming.
Catch Program:
Now into our third year, the CATCH program is included in all of our After School Care programs. This “Coordinated Approach to Total Child Health” (CATCH) has children moving more and eating healthier. It involves 30 minutes of vigorous activity 3 times per week and a nutritional activity once per week. The YMCA with the cooperation of the Nemours Foundation is seeking to promote healthy habits in children that will last a lifetime.

YMCA KID’S CLUB (Care for days off during the school year)
The students will have a fun day at the YMCA on professional development and conference days for the Brandywine School District. The day will consist of games, active play, free play, and swim time. Please bring a bathing suit and towel. A pizza lunch is provided. (If your child does not like pizza, please send in a lunch.) We have limited space, so please sign up prior to the day(s) off from school.

Fees:
