During lessons you will receive gentle hands-on guidance and verbal instruction while you learn to bring ease and coordination to simple, everyday movements and positions, such as sitting, walking, bending and lying down. Unravel stress while you lie on a bodywork table and learn to prevent harmful habits of tension and movement. The Alexander Technique can help people of all ages prevent or alleviate conditions associated with excess tension and poor posture, such as neck, back and shoulder pain. Registration is available through the front desk. The instructor will contact you to make date and time arrangements. Please contact Laura Schofield-Pierson at extension 59, or via email at LSchofield-Pierson@ymcade.org regarding any questions or concerns.
