YOUNG ARTIST’S STUDIO [04413]
Ages 7-12
We will guide your child’s imagination through the world of art as they learn basic art skills! Students will be introduced to a creative elementary school art program. Students will create their own masterpieces as they learn drawing, painting, pottery, printing, etc. The class will also include some art history as they try techniques of famous artists! This is a continuing class through the school year with different projects each session. Please bring a 10 X 12 sketchpad to the first class. All other supplies included.

CREATIVE DRAWING AND PAINTING [04418]
Ages 8 and over
This class will give older girls and boys the tools to expand their artistic talent! The instructor will help you learn to draw and paint as you focus on different styles and subjects. This is a continuing class through the school year covering landscapes, portraits, still life, etc. Many mediums (pencil, charcoal, watercolor and acrylics) will be used on projects. No experience is necessary. Please bring a 10 X 12 sketchpad and a pencil to the first class. All other materials are included.

3 DIMENSIONAL ART CLASS [04403]

Join a really fun and creative six-week 3 dimensional art class for girls and boys. This is a hands-on class where the student will start with basics and work with paper-mâché and clay. Learn basic hand building skills by creating items like a mask, a container, beaded jewelry, etc. You must bring your imagination and a desire to create. All materials are included. Each class period will include journal writing, fun writing exercises, creative projects, and examples of writing from classics of children’s literature. The class will be taught by Sara Rowe, who has a MA in Children’s Literature and has been published in a number of pre-teen and teen magazines. Class is limited to eight students. A materials fee of $5 for each session must be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
