In an effort to meet your scheduling and exercise needs, the Downtown YMCAs offer over 60 group exercise classes each week. Classes are offered throughout the day, including before and after work. We offer a variety of types and levels of classes. All group exercise classes are FREE for members, and no registration is required. When taking classes, we recommend that you wear comfortable, athletic clothing and shoes, and if you are new to a class, we recommend you arrive a few minutes early, so the instructor can help you set up for class. Join our professionally trained staff today as they guide you to a healthier lifestyle through our classes.

ADVANCED STEP
A faster-paced STEP workout, which features advanced choreography. Prior STEP experience recommended..

BODYCOMBAT™
The empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. All levels welcome.

BODYPUMP™
The fastest way to shape up and lose body fat. It’s a toning and conditioning class with weights and is for just about everybody who wants to add strength training into their aerobic workout. The simplicity of the class makes BODYPUMP™ a great starting point to develop strength and confidence. Hot sounds and compelling choreography keep you going through each 45-minute or one-hour workout.

CIRCUIT TRAINING
Circuit Training will increase your aerobic and anaerobic capacity, as well as increase your strength, flexibility, agility and balance. The class rotates through a variety of exercises, making it accessible to all fitness levels. You’ll torch calories while building both mental and physical confidence and fitness no matter you goal.

CORE CRUNCH
20-minutes of concentrated core exercises, focusing on abs and lower back. It’s a great complement to your cardio or strengthening routine.

HAVE A BALL
A one-hour class that does it all! Through intervals of cardio drills, toning exercises, Pilates, abdominal and core work, and stretching, you’ll work your entire body with the help of the stability ball & Have a Ball in the process!!

H.E.A.T. High Energy Athletic Training
A combination of kickboxing, boot camp drills, and plyometrics. Can you handle the HEAT?

SOUL LINE DANCE
A fun, exciting way to dance your way into good health. You will learn all the latest line dances as well as improve your cardiovascular endurance, strengthen muscles, decrease body fat % and have more confidence on the dance floor.

STEP & ABS
Rev up your engine with a cardio workout using the step! After you have worked your heart and lungs, you will work your midsection with abdominal and lower back work.

STEP INTERVAL
Combines the best of both worlds in this workout. After warming up, you will be challenged by alternating bouts of STEP and intense muscle conditioning. It is the most complete workout you can get.

STEP
A high intensity, low impact cardiovascular workout using the step. Express Step is a 30 minute class.

TNT: TONE AND TIGHTEN
An effective, safe weight training class that uses a variety of exercises and equipment to help teach proper form while toning and building muscle, strength and endurance.

ULTIMATE WORKOUT
Consists of 45 minutes of BODYCOMBAT™ followed by 45 minutes of BODYPUMP™. A fun, intense cardio and strength workout!

ZUMBA®
A fusion of Latin and International music – dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! Zumba utilizes the principals of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
