S.M.A.R.T. Start session
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic & Time Oriented Goals
During this goal setting consultation, a wellness professional will work with you to understand your unique needs and how to overcome obstacles. Together, we will discuss ways to help you get started and how to measure success. Not only will S.M.A.R.T. Start help you to get acquainted with your staff and offerings at the YMCA, but it is an excellent opportunity to get your health & wellness questions answered.

FITNESS ORIENTATION
If you’re new to the Y, or are unsure how to use some of the equipment in the fitness center, let us help you become more comfortable and familiar with equipment options we have to offer. During your free fitness orientation, meet with our trained fitness instructor who will show you the basics of the fitness center. BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS
If you have goals that include losing weight and lowering your body fat percentage, then this is good place to start. We will give you a free 5-minute assessment conducted by a fitness professional to determine your body’s percentage of fat so you can track your progress! Fill out a registration form at the membership desk, and you’ll be contacted to set up an appointment. For additional information, contact Kathryn Luebke at 302-254-9622, ext. 149, or

Diabetes Prevention Program
The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program (YDPP) is an evidence-based program the YMCA of Delaware is offering in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control. This year-long, evidence-based program is designed to help individuals with pre-diabetes reduce their risk of developing diabetes.
• 12-month long program for individuals with pre-diabetes
• Program is proven to reduce risk of developing the type 2 diabetes by more than half
• Learn skills to lead a healthier lifestyle, including how to eat healthier, increase physical activity, and change your behavior (physical activity is not a part of program)
• Meet one hour per week for 16 core sessions, in a supportive group setting, led by a lifestyle coach
• After 16 weekly core sessions, groups meet once a month for 6 to 8 months to support their lifestyle changes
• Program is offered in YMCAs and community centers throughout Delaware
• Participants are placed in groups based upon their scheduling and location needs
Fees: $149 for YMCA members / $199 non-YMCA Members
Financial Assistance available for individuals who qualify

PERSONAL TRAINING AT THE YMCA
Each day many people join the YMCA with a high motivation to become healthier but sometimes they need help and support! The Y strives to make available to you the most experienced and professional personal fitness trainers. Our trainers cover a vast array of clientele including athletes, sedentary adults, seniors and teens. Our certified personal trainers can design a personalized training program specifically for you based on your individual profile

Whether it's losing weight, toning up, building muscles, increasing stamina, or preparing for an event, YMCA Personal Training will help you reach your fitness goals through personalized training. And we'll help you learn how to stay that way for life.

1 ON 1 PERSONAL TRAINING
Our personal trainers will take time to help you identify your health and wellness goals and then assist you in reaching them in a comfortable, personal environment. After identifying member's individual goals and interests, our trainer wil coach you throught a tailored program to work out more efficiently and effectively. All sessions are one hour.

BUDDY PERSONAL TRAINING
Exercising with a friend can be more fun and can also help to keep you motivated. Buddy training is your opportunity to workout with a friend and save money. You can sign up at the membership desk. Pick up a packet and sign up at the membership desk.

PERSONAL TRAINING "TO GO "
We offer 30 minute training sessions, designed for people with limited time to exercise. Our personal trainers will coach you through an individualized program with your goals and lifestyle in mind. This is great if you're looking for a shorter workout.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SESSION
Are you stuck in a rut? A program development session can help you begin to add more movement into your lifestyle. During this session, a certified personal trainer will meet with you and design a workout plan for you to follow on your own based on your specific needs and goals. Basic knowledge of strength training exercises is required for a successful program development session.

TRX TRAINING CLASSES
TRX training classes help improve muscular balance, joint stability, mobility, and core strength. The 7-week program is progressive and includes exercises for the upper body, lower body, and core. And, since you create your own resistance level, TRX is great for everyone – From super-fit athletes to people just starting out to people looking for something new to add to their workout routine. Our trained TRX instructors will coach you through a workout that is fun and effective. TRX will help you increase strength, improve posture and flexibility, and help prevent injuries.

TRX Training On the Go
Are you looking to fit exercise into your day but time is limited in your schedule? Take 30 minutes with TRX and one of our trainers to experience a time-saving, effective workout. Grab a friend or colleague and have twice as much fun!

6 TRX Buddy Sessions: $120
