Classes for children 3 to 5 years old are 30 minutes and held in our warm 4 lane pool. When you register, holidays that fall in a session are already prorated in the computer. Make up classes are not offered if your child misses a class. Class fees are not credited for missed days or acts of nature such as snow or electrical storms. Parents must bring their child(ren) to the pool to drop them off for their lesson and come to the pool deck to pick-up their child(ren) after the lesson.

Option 2: 4 Days a Week Monday through Thursday for 2 Weeks in a Row (8 lessons)
Sessions: Session 1: June 20 – June 30 / Session 2: July 11 – July 22 / Session 3: July 25 – August 4

Pike [02110]
This is the first class for a child without their parent in the pool with them. This is the ideal level for the beginner pre-school child who is adjusting to being away from a parents or who is uncomfortable being independent of a flotation device. This class provides an introduction to basic skills including: Kicking, paddling, blowing bubbles, putting face in the water and swimming with an instructional flotation device and socialization.

Advanced Pike [02111]
This is the ideal level for the returning Pike who is comfortable without his/her parent, but cannot swim independently without help. This child knows how to put their face under water, perform back/front floats with help, swim with a flotation device, jump to an instructor and has the social skills to take turns and work well with an instructor. Independent swimming introduced with focus on safety, proper technique and endurance.

Eels [02113]
This is the level for children who can swim 15 feet on front and back without a flotation device. Class will work on stroke development of front and back paddle stroke, diving, swimming in deep water and rhythmic breathing.

Rays [02116]
This level is for children who can swim 30 feet or ½ the length unassisted and be comfortable in the deep water. Stroke development and endurance are improved while swimming on front, back and side with emphasis on rhythmic breathing. Class is combined with the Starfish.

Starfish [02118]
This level is for the advanced swimmer under 6 years old who can swim 75 feet or one length. Children will work on perfecting horizontal position, freestyle, rotary breathing, endurance, deep water skills and stroke development with an introduction to breaststroke and elementary backstroke.
