Dear Central Delaware Y Members,

I’m very excited to share with you the progress that we have made toward our building expansion!

While it may seem that not much has happened, we have been very busy! We have been involved with a number of committees in the City of Dover as we develop building plans, and everyone has been very supportive of the YMCA growing to serve more people. We have now received all of the rezoning and property variances that we need to begin drawing construction plans.

If you stop in the lobby, we have larger prints of this master plan and building elevation drawings that are shown on this page. We plan to break ground in the spring of 2011 and have the new spaces open in early fall 2011!

In the next few months you’ll be hearing more information about our exciting plans as we grow to
provide more youth development opportunities, healthy living programs, and act as a socially
responsible organization serving our community!
