Beginner class for children with little or
no water experience/skills, or who are uncomfortable
getting their face wet. The class introduces
basic floats, freestyle (front crawl), backstroke,
and water safety skills. If child was previously
in Pike A, Pike B, or Eel, and has turned
6, they should also enter this class. To advance
to the next level, the child should be comfortable
in the water and be able to swim at least
half of the length of the pool both freestyle
and backstroke.

Intermediate level class for children who
can already swim 1/2 the length of the pool.
If child was previously in a Ray class and
has turned 6, they should also enter this
level. Freestyle (front crawl) with rotary
breathing, and backstroke will be improved
while also being introduce to breaststroke
and other water skills. For the child to advance
to the next level, he or she must be able
to swim one length of the pool completely
unassisted with rotary breathing.

Advanced level class emphasizes and refines
backstroke and rotary breathing. Breaststroke
is introduced and safety skills and reinforced.
For children to move to the next level, they
should be able to swim two lengths of freestyle

of breaststroke.

Advanced intermediate level reviews freestyle

and refines breaststroke. To move into the

& backstroke and 50 yards of breaststroke.

Advanced level class emphasize breaststroke
and introduces butterfly and flip turns. Must
be able to swim four lengths (100 yards) of
freestyle with the rotary breathing to enter
this class. For children to advance to the
next level, they should be able to swim 200
yards of the pool both freestyle and backstroke,
as well as, 100 yards of breaststroke.

Emphasize mastering freestyle, breaststroke,
and butterfly; exposes individuals to swim
team drills and builds work on endurance.

Special Adapted
Youth Instruction Swim [02504]
If you have ever wanted your child to learn
to swim but you did not feel your child would
benefit in our group swim lessons, then this
class is for your and your child. Our Special
Adapted Swim Program is designed to work with
children with special needs / or limitations.
This program is for anyone five years of age
or older. (Anyone 8 years of age and younger
must be accompanied by a parent / guardian
/ care-provider in the water at all times.

Wild Whale Club
This 30 minute program full of water fun sports
and games is designed for ages 6-12 who are
able to pass the swim test. Participants must
sign in to reserve a space for each class
