a Volunteer Firefighter
Whenever there are fires, car accidents, water rescues, and any
other type of emergencies, volunteers from your community come
to your aid.
And they need your help!
Outside the City of Wilmington limits, communities in Delaware
are protected by a Volunteer Fire Service. In fact, Dover is the
only State Capitol in the Union that is protected by a volunteer
company!
Become a volunteer firefighter or volunteer to assist your local
fire company in other ways. All types of volunteers are needed
in the fire service—from people actually fighting fires
to people willing to assist the companies with marketing, bookkeeping,
fundraising…you name it! |
