T.I.P.S. (Tobacco Intervention Program for Students) is a tobacco prevention program using the science-based curriculm, Get Real About Tobacco.
For kindergartern to fourth grade, children are involved in learning the consequences of tobacco use and in practicing, through role play with puppets, skills they can apply to avoid tobacco use.
In grades six to nine, through discussion and activities, youth learn the benefits of being tobacco free and what they can do to choose to stay tobacco free.
For kindergarten through 4th grade and sixth through ninth grade
Size: Maximum 25-30 per trainer
Time : Kindergarten through 4th grade: 50
minutes plus 10 minutes one week prior
to program for pre-test.
Sixth through ninth grade: Three
40-45 minute programs
