Y.E.L.L. - Youth to Eliminate Loss of Life
Y.E.L.L.’s mission is to reduce death and injury of youth on Delaware 's highways through preventive programs. It works to do this by supporting youth who want to actively promote a drug-free message and highway safety in their schools and communities.

The support consists of trainings in communication skills, leadership development, and up-to-date alcohol and other drug information. In addition, the Resource Center has a collection of current videos and pamphlets for use by Y.E.L.L. chapters.

Also available to Y.E.L.L. members is the Pathways program, which involves participants traveling on a 7’ x 10’ Delaware game board from one end of the State to the other, as they successfully answer questions about alcohol and other drugs and demonstrate skills to make positive decisions about their use.

At least once a year, Y.E.L.L. members from throughout Delaware gather to share ideas, learn new skills, and have drug and alcohol-free fun.

A biannual Y.E.L.L. newsletter provides activity ideas, information about special events and campaigns, and current facts about alcohol, other drugs, and impaired driving. The newsletters also recognize and highlight Y.E.L.L. clubs and their young leaders and adult advisers.

Any organization composed of middle or senior high school students that shares the philosophy of Y.E.L.L. is eligible for membership. Funding for Y.E.L.L. is provided through a Delaware Office of Highway Safety grant.
