Who we are and what we do

As the community outreach branch of the YMCA of Delaware, the Resource Center works to fulfill its mission of building healthy lifestyles through leadership development, positive life skills, and substance abuse prevention in the following ways:

• Consultation and Technical Assistance – Staff offer assistance with selection of “Best Practice” curricula and programs  and design and implement programs tailored to meet a group’s needs and resources.
• Free Video Lending Library – Educational videos on substance abuse prevention, conflict resolution, and life skills education are available to borrow.
• Health Fairs – Staff provide and display free resource materials.
• Informational/Referral Telephone Line – Staff give information on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs as well as treatment referrals.
