S.M.A.R.T. Start
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic & Time Oriented goals.
During this goal setting consultation a wellness professional will work with you to understand your unique needs and how to overcome obstacles. Together we will discuss ways to help you get started and how to measure success. Not only will S.M.A.R.T. Start help you get acquainted with our staff and offerings at our YMCA, but it is an excellent opportunity to get your health and wellness questions answered. Register for your session at the front desk.

Wellness Center Orientations
Our Orientations are designed to introduce you to our Wellness Center staff, policies and equipment. We offer 3 different types of orientations to help our members better meet their fitness needs. All orientations include discussion of proper form and technique as well as standard Wellness Center etiquette. Full members may register at the front desk for one or all of the following:
Fees: FREE to Full Members

The Basics
Recommended for the new member, beginner exerciser and required for members age 14-16 who use the Wellness Center. You’ll learn the basics of a safe and effective workout while getting an overview of 3 pieces of cardio equipment and 8 machines from the Nautilus Strength Training Circuit.

The Next Step
Recommended for members who have been through a basic orientation and feel comfortable enough to learn more. This orientation can also be used as a refresher for those who haven’t used the Nautilus machines in a while. You’ll learn 2 more pieces of cardio equipment, the remaining Nautilus strength training machines and how to structure a complete well-rounded workout.

Free Weights
When you’re ready to take your workout beyond Nautilus, you can move on to free weights. This orientation will include a review of weight room etiquette, safety tips, and the safe execution of a basic set of free weight exercises to enhance your current routine.

Personal Training
Whether you need motivation, accountability or expert knowledge and guidance, working one-on-one with a personal trainer can help you continue on your path to health and wellness. See the member services desk to begin your personal training experience.

Personal Training for Adults
We want to help you work out more efficiently and effectively. Our certified personal trainers will help you achieve your health and fitness goals and get the results you want. Each session is up to one hour in length depending on the type of training program that is designed for you.

Personal Training for Youth
Could your child use some extra motivation toward living an active lifestyle? Or improve his or her fitness or athletic performance? Our personal trainers can help. We’ll meet one-on-one with your child and provide training with programs specifically designed for youth and your child’s individual goals. Each session lasts up to 45 minutes.
Ages: 12 to 17

Personal Training for Two
For Adult Full Members
Keeping up a fitness program is easier when you have a friend who is committed to doing the same. Training for Two makes it possible for two members with similar goals and similar fitness levels to work with one personal trainer at the same time.
FEES (total for both people):
3 sessions $140

12 sessions $400

Strong & Sculpted
Want to drop a few pounds? Add muscle? Lower your body fat percentage? Improve your cardiovascular conditioning? Your 10-week program begins and ends with body fat analysis, body measurements, a weigh-in and a fitness evaluation. Each hour-long training session includes strength and cardiovascular training in the Wellness Gallery in a circuit-type workout led by a certified trainer. You’ll also receive basic information on nutrition as well as tracking forms to record your workouts. Minimum registration of 5, maximum of 10 people.
Day & Time: Monday and Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30am
Monday and Wednesday 10:45 – 11:45am
Fees: Full Members: $100 / Program Members: $200

Senior Circuit
Stay fit with a circuit-type workout designed especially for active adults age 55 and over. A combination of strength training and aerobic conditioning is led by an experienced trainer in the Wellness Gallery for the 10-week session. Minimum registration of 5, maximum of 12 people.
Day & Time: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 – 10:00 am
Fees: Full Members: $38 / Program Members: $75

TRX Suspension Training
TRX Training offers you everything you’ve been looking for in a strength training program. Whether you’re a beginner or an elite athlete, our TRX training programs will help you achieve your desired health and wellness goals using your own body weight. The 30-minute training sessions are held outdoors. The TRX training program runs 8 weeks. Please inquire at the member services desk for the program schedule.
Fees: Full Members: $35 / Program Members: $70

SPEED WORK FOR RUNNERS
All ability levels are welcome in this ongoing training program. Join in at any time as we lead you through a running interval workout designed to help you increase speed. Meet at the Junction and Breakwater Trail next to Holland Glade Road behind the outlets (park behind the outlet stores at the trailhead). Workouts last approximately one hour.
Day & Time: Wednesday 6:00 pm
Fees: FREE and open to the community
