TUMBLING & AERIaL CLASSES
Our tumbling and aerial classes, led by Rachel Cryne, are organized in a progressive format with evaluation of each child’s skills at the end of every session. Certain skills must be mastered for advancement to the next level. Static Trapeze is a circus art performed on the trapeze. Unlike swinging trapeze the aerial skills are done while the bar and ropes mainly stay in place. The skills develop strength, flexibility, grace and control. No make-up classes offered unless the YMCA cancels a class. All classes are held in the YMCA gym.
Classes: Mondays – 3:45pm to 4:45pm - Level 1
4:45pm to 5:45pm - Level 2
Saturdays – 10:45am to 11:45am - Level 1
11:45am to 12:45pm - Level 2

LEVEL 1: Ages 3 and up
Participants will learn basic tumbling and aerial exercises. Cartwheels and backward rolls will be skills each child will need to master before moving to level 2. Mini-tramps and balance beam will be incorporated with level 1.

LEVEL 2: Ages 7 and up
Prerequisites-backward roll and cartwheels are need for this level. More complex tumbling and aerial will be the focus of this level. Mini-tramps and balance beam will be incorporated with level 2.
