YMCA Camp Tockwogh is a beautiful, traditional co-ed summer camp for boys and girls who have completed 2nd through 9th grade. Located on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, just outside of historic Chestertown, Maryland, campers stay in “villages” of cabins by age group and share wholesome meals together in our classic camp dining hall. With 300 acres, and more than a mile of shorefront woods and beaches, we are the ideal setting for a sleep-away Camp Experience.
We optimize our location right on the Chesapeake Bay by having all Tockwogh campers (2nd- 9th graders) participate in water activities! When they are old enough, they can even “specialize” in water-skiing or sailing.
We specialize in waterskiing and sailing, with a fleet of more than a hundred boats. We have extensive mountain biking and hiking trails, horse stables, and fields and courts suitable for every sport imaginable. Our wooded setting offers excellent resources for environmental and outdoor living activities. In addition to our stellar Fine Arts programs, we are excited to have a professional artist this summer so we can offer advanced pottery and ceramics courses.
Our staff are handpicked to provide these experiences, all in a safe and welcoming environment. Campers who come to Tockwogh gain independence, learn practical skills and make lifelong friends. A summer at Camp Tockwogh is sure to provide fond memories and skills that will last a lifetime!
