Directly responsible for the supervision, coordination, and implementation of all operations and staff members at Cherokee Beach (waterfront for 4 younger villages). |

Specific Responsibilities: |
Responsible for the sail, ski and windsurfing staff at Cherokee Beach. Supervise 16 staff members, approx. 60 campers and 13 boats. With younger children in attendance, ages 7-11, it is key that the Cherokee Beach Director is comfortable working with younger children and guiding staff members who are not. This person must be very creative and innovative at developing programs that will keep the campers enthused while still learning. As always, safety is the number one priority, especially with younger campers. |

Required Skills and/or Certifications: |
Ability to complete the following: Ellis Lifeguard, Maryland Boating Safety Education, US Merchant Mariners License (OUPV-Limited Deck License). Proficiency in some of the following: sailing, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, general boat maintenance, and powerboats. Set a high example of the YMCA Character Values and extend experience as a leader to all others in program area. |
