Specific Responsibilities: |
Supervise and train aquatic staff; Schedule and supervise swim lessons, recreational swim, waterpolo and basketball. Will be responsible for the six lifeguards and program staff including their lifeguard training. Along with the Aquatics and Waterfront Director, the Pool Director will be the primary trainer for Ellis Lifeguards at the pool. They will be solely responsible for all in-service trainings and other Ellis standards. He/She must be devoted to the strict aquatic safety standards of the YMCA of Delaware and of Jeff Ellis and Associates. The Pool Director will also be directly responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep of the pool. |

Required Skills and/or Certifications: |
Ability to complete the following: Ellis Lifeguard, Ellis Lifeguard Instructor and YMCA swimming fundamentals; Youth and Adult swim instructor. Proficiency in the following: swim lessons, swim team and competitive swimming as well as other pertinent aquatic activities. Set a high example of the YMCA Character Values and extend experience as a leader to all others in program area. Above all: Safety, Safety, and Safety. |
