Directly responsible for the supervision, administration and coordination of all facets concerning the sailing program. |

Specific Responsibilities: |
Supervise and train 17 sail staff members. Ensure their proficiency with basic sailboat handling; tacking, jibing, upwind, off wind, etc. Responsible for a fleet of 45 sailboats and their maintenance. Create teaching curricula and develop lesson plans to fit each camper at his/her level of experience and skill. Maintain the condition of all sailboats, and equipment. Will also act as Regatta Chairman for bi-weekly regattas and the Annual Tockwogh Regatta |

Required Skills and/or Certifications: |
Ability to complete the following: Ellis Lifeguard, Maryland Boating Safety Education, US Merchant Mariners License (OUPV-Limited Deck License). Proficiency in some of the following: Basic sailing, racing and running regattas. Set a high example of the YMCA Character Values and extend experience as a leader to all others in program area.
