Water-ski Staff / Cabin Counselors

Job Description:

Responsible for teaching lessons and following direction of activity director.  See Cabin Counselor

High School Graduate

Min. Experience Required:

Leadership Skills, Waterskiing experience

Min. Age Required:

18

Salary:  

$200-220 per week

Start Date:

June 10, 2007

End Date:

August 19, 2007

Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for the group of campers in the waterskiing program while under his/her instruction.   Must be able to comprehend the needed skills in waterskiing, follow a lesson plan and relate the needed material to the campers through an organized means.  This staff member must have some basic knowledge of teaching skills and techniques.  He or she must also be familiar with our equipment and be comfortable using and teaching on it (waterskiing, wakeboard, trick ski, slalom, barefoot, and kneeboard) as well as driving and handling a powerboat.

Required Skills and/or Certifications:

Ability to complete the following training: Ellis Lifeguard and Maryland Boating Safety Education.  This staff member must be proficient in waterskiing knowledge and have basic teaching skills for classroom work.
