Tickwogh – Water skiing and Wakeboarding Camp (Grades 7-10)
Tickwogh is a specialty camp for wakeboarding and water skiing. Both activities are also available at our traditional camp.

"We don’t have boats like these at home or access to water. This is the only place our son really can do this kind of stuff.”
2009 Session 4 Parent

For campers who really want to hone their water skiing or wakeboarding skills, Tickwogh is the perfect program. We certify our instructors as lifeguards for safety and USA Water Ski Level 1 Instructors for coaching. Using top of the line equipment and boats, our skilled staff works with campers to develop a curriculum that is individualized. Every camper has a slightly different needs or struggles with different skills. After the first two days of programming, our instructors focus on individual goals and build a lesson plan for each camper. We are proud of the relatively small program (15 participants) and the level of interaction that it creates between the instructors and campers.

Because Tickwogh is a skill development camp, we strive for the best. We purchase the best skis, wakeboards, and tow lines. Tickwogh also has the nicest boats on camp complete with wakeboard towers. Most importantly, campers in our specialty program take a short trip by boat every day to Still Pond Creek, a protected body of water with excellent conditions every day. Tickwogh campers alone have this wonderful privilege, and learning on the serene, glassy waters of Still Pond (the name says it all) makes it that much easier for campers to rapidly develop skills.

Skills are certainly a great part of any camp program, but so are the friendships made. At our water skiing and wakeboarding camp, every camper already has something in common - a love for boating and being on the water. Combine that with a small group, thoughtful instructors, and fun-filled days on the water, and camper friendships develop rapidly. So if you think this community of water sport enthusiasts is the right fit for your camper sign up soon; space is limited. If you have questions you can email Matt Barstead, the waterfront and aquatics director at Tockwogh.
