Ready to volunteer? Follow these steps:

1) Call 302-254-9622 ext. 133 to schedule a tour of your local volunteer fire company with an ESC member.

2) Fill out an application (see below for those currently available for download). Do NOT sign the application.

3) Fill out the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commission's criminal history affidavit. Do NOT sign the affidavit.

4) Sign the application and affidavit in the presence of an ESC member who will notarize your application for free.

5) After passing the required background check, attend your local volunteer fire company's meeting to be voted in as a member (please note this last step can vary from company to company).
