Our licensed School Age Care Program provides
a positive and meaningful before and after
school experience for children in grades
K through 8. Experienced and dedicated staff
plan structured activities designed to develop
each child to his or her fullest potential.
Your child will take part in some theme
days, developmental centers, YMCA character
development, arts & crafts, CATCH fitness
program, along with nutrition education,
homework and a daily snack/drink. We will
encourage the building of strong relationships
with school mates and staff to promote positive
interactions.

Our Kindergarten Program is held at the
YDC @ The Western Family YMCA.
Hours: 11:30am to 6:00pm Children must be
registered in AM Kindergarten at their school.
We provide Transportation from selective
schools.

Registration
Step 1: Complete the YMCA Membership application
and Program Enrollment Form (Submit custody
agreements, if applicable).
Step 2: Submit a completed Health Appraisal
form within 30 days of start date (Health
appraisals must be current within 12 months).
If we do not receive the form within 30
days, your child will not be permitted to
return to the program. Note: Please complete
a “Med Form” if your child needs
to take medication while in our program.
Step 3: Payment is required at the time
of registration. This includes a one time
$25 non-refundable registration fee per
family and payment for the current month.
Our payments are divided into nine equal
portions starting in September and running
through May.
Payment Options:
EFT Easy Payment Plan
EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) Payments
will automatically be deducted on the 1st
of the month from your Checking, Savings,
or Credit Card account.
Statement Billing
Payments are due on the 1st of the month.
You will receive a statement two weeks prior
to the due date (1st of the month). If payment
is not received by the 10th of the month,
your child will not be permitted to return
to the program.
Financial Assistance:
YMCA membership and programs are designed
to be readily available to the public. Fees
are set at the level that makes them affordable
to as many people as possible. Our financial
assistance policy enables the YMCA to assist
individuals who want to participate but

Purchase of Care:
The Western Family YMCA participates in
the State of Delaware Purchase of Care childcare
fee subsidy program. Openings into this
program are limited, and are on a first
come first serve basis. Social Services
offices will finalize your eligibility of
subsidy. An additional option for payment
is self-arranged purchase of care. This
is a pay in full, parent reimbursement program.

Withdraw Policy:
Parents must give written notice to the program director ten business days prior to the withdraw date to cancel a child from the program for any reason. Unused tuition will be credited to your account.
