Healthy Kids Day
Join us on Saturday, April 12th
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Each spring, YMCAs across the country take part in YMCA Healthy Kids Day®. It’s an opportunity for families to spend fun time together while improving their health. Children’s health is a concern for the whole family. Parents can be the best role models for their kids, and kid’s health habits mirror those of their parents. Healthy Kids Day® provides kids and families with information on how to be healthier in all aspects of their lives. For the YMCA, good health involves the spirit, mind and body. A “healthy kid” not only eats right, exercises and avoids unhealthy substances like tobacco and alcohol but also demonstrates values such as caring for others and taking responsibilty for improving the environment. Join the Western Family YMCA and YMCA’s across the country as we celebrate Healthy Kids Day® with our community. The festive celebration will feature exhibits, games, activities and special visitors to emphasize the importance of being a healthy kid.

Activities include:
• kids cooking demonstration
• live children’s music
• community vendors with information that will keep your kids safe
• healthy snacks
• giveaways
• youth wellness center open
• facility tours available to the community

Physical activities for kids include:
• games
• kid’s movement class sampler
• moon bounce
