SUMMARY:Brain Wellness Information\, Support\, and Empowerment (Brain-WISE)
DESCRIPTION:*Special session for members of the Western Branch YMCA* \nMembers of the Western Family YMCA are invited to join the University of Delaware’s Brain-WISE program\, starting on February 3rd. \nApproximately 45 % of cases of dementia could be prevented or delayed by making lifestyle changes and reducing certain risks. Unfortunately\, there is a lot of misleading information in the news and on TV\, and it isn’t easy to figure out how to improve brain health in an evidence-based way. Additionally\, making changes to health habits can be challenging. \nBrain-WISE is a 6 week module\, group-based workshop to provide education and support for improving brain health in aging. The program is for people who do not have significant daily challenges with their thinking or memory.
