DESCRIPTION:The Sussex Family YMCA will join YMCAs across the country in hosting Campfire Across America\, a one-night\, nationwide celebration of connection\, community\, and belonging. This event is open to the community. \nAs part of this national moment\, we will host a campfire in the backyard of the Sussex Family Y from 6 – 8 p.m.\, featuring: \n\nS’mores\nSing Alongs\nBounce Houses\n\nThe Sussex Family Y is pleased to welcome the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay to help facilitate the campfire. The scouts will also teach fire safety and participate in campfire songs. For interested families\, there will also be information on how to join the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay. \nFor generations\, campfires have served as places where differences fade\, stories are shared\, and community is built. Campfire Across America brings that tradition into the spotlight. \nCampfire Across America is taking place at YMCAs in all 50 states\, creating a unified national story of belonging and connection. The initiative highlights the YMCA’s long-standing role as a place where everyone is welcome and community thrives.
