YMCA of Delaware students recently testified before the Joint Finance Committee at Legislative Hall in Dover. Tina Monroe and Talley Ridgeway, students involved at the Dover Y’s Girls in Fitness Together program, advocated for continued funding for after school programs for Teens at the Sussex, Dover and Walnut Street YMCA’s. Helena McKnight, a student from the Walnut Street Y, also testified before the Joint Finance Committee. She expressed how important the Y’s middle school and after school programs are to her.
