The Y supports Delaware Stars Funding

The YMCA of Delaware is very grateful to our State Legislators for their consideration toward continuing the Delaware STARS program and we are proud to be program participants.

Did you know that the Y of Delaware provides Infant, Toddler and School Age care for more than 1,900 children each month?

During the school year, the children come from over 50 schools throughout the state. One in three of the children enrolled receive assistance from the state through Purchase of Care (POC). Some children do not qualify for POC but still need financial assistance and the Y’s Open Doors scholarship program can help those children. Of the 1,900 children enrolled in the Y’s after school program, 215 receive financial aid through the Open Doors program.
