Healthy Weight and your Child

The YMCA of Delaware is doing its part in the fight against childhood obesity. Healthy Weight and Your Child is a 12-month evidence-based program for children with obesity. The yearlong program empowers 7-13 year olds, with the support of their families, to reach a healthy weight and live a healthier lifestyle.

2017 Annual Campaign Kickoff

On January 31, 2017 we kicked off our Annual Campaign at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. Our Annual Campaign raises funds to help ensure people throughout our state have access to the YMCA, our community programs, youth camps and other valuable resources. A big thank you to Governor Carney for joining us and supporting what we do! [/twoctaleft]

The Y For All

Through a collaboration between the YMCA of Delaware, the non-profit group EPIC, the University of Delaware, and the company Enliten, the Bear Glasgow Family YMCA was able to install adaptive fitness equipment designed to integrate people with limited abilities into a community fitness setting.
