Youth in Government offers model legislative and judicial experiences for youth in grades 6-12. Students have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process, debate parliamentary procedure, and work with peers to develop solutions to problems affecting Delawareans. Participants can assume the role of Legislator, Lobbyist, Journalist, Speaker, Youth Governor, Attorney, Justice, and more.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

Healthy Weight and your Child
The YMCA of Delaware is doing its part in the fight against childhood obesity. Healthy Weight and Your Child is a 12-month evidence-based program for children with obesity. The yearlong program empowers 7-13 year olds, with the support of their families, to reach a healthy weight and live a healthier lifestyle.

The Y For All
Through a collaboration between the YMCA of Delaware, the non-profit group EPIC, the University of Delaware, and the company Enliten, the Bear Glasgow Family YMCA was able to install adaptive fitness equipment designed to integrate people with limited abilities into a community fitness setting.
