Welcoming Week celebrates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace newcomer immigrants and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. Stop by our welcome table and let us know where you’re coming from! Everyone is welcome at the Y!

International Potluck
Tuesday, September 12th | 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Join us at the Y as we celebrate the work we do in our community to become a welcoming place for all, including immigrants.

Bring your favorite homemade food that celebrates your heritage and enjoy foods of other cultures as well.

Grandparents’ Day

September 10th

Join us in celebrating the wisdom and warmth you bring to our lives on Grandparents’ Day with crafts in the lobby. Open Swim from 12-3:45 p.m. and Grandkids/Grandparents come FREE!


Parents’ Night Out

  • September 22 | 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

  • November 17 | 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

As a member benefit, you are able to drop your child(ren) off for up to 3 hours while you leave the premises. Registration is required and available at the front desk. $30 for the first child and $20 for any additional children.

Healthy Aging Week

All Seniors come in FREE!

September is Healthy Aging Month, and to celebrate we welcome our Y Seniors (65+) to stop by our branch for free September 24-30.

Don’t forget to bring a friend and try out our group exercise classes such as Fitness for Life, Chair Pilates, Cardio Flex, & and Aqua Aerobics Classes.

Senior Services Day
Wednesday, September 27 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Stop by our lobby and meet with representatives from Delaware’s Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities and Jewish family Services to discuss their programs for healthy aging.


Active Older Adult Social (AOA) Club

Last Wednesday of each month | 1 – 3 p.m.
Welcome back!

Members – come play Rummikub, cards, Bunco, and socialize with new friends. Feel free to bring a snack/refreshment to share. Hosted by Stefanie Bowden in the Teen Center. AOA Social Club meets the last Wednesday of each month.
