43rd Mayor’s Icicle 10 Miler & 5K

Winter Race Tradition Returns January 10th, Benefiting YMCAs in Downtown Wilmington, DE

Wilmington, Delaware – The 43rd Mayor’s Icicle Ten Miler & Snowflake 5K is set to return, bringing runners and walkers together for one of Wilmington’s most cherished winter race traditions to support the Central YMCA & Walnut Street YMCA’s Annual Campaign. Proceeds from the event help ensure individuals and families in Wilmington have access to essential YMCA programs and services.

Race Day – Saturday, January 10, 2026

  • 7:30 AM – Registration Opens
  • 8:30 AM – Snowflake 5K Start
  • 9:30 AM – Icicle Ten Miler Start

Participants can walk or run, with registration starting at just $40. Register Here.

The race will begin and end at the Central YMCA.

Following the race, participants are invited to a festive post-race celebration at DE.CO Wilmington, featuring food and beverages available for purchase.

“The return of the Icicle Run helps shine a light on the Downtown YMCAs and the essential programs we provide, from childcare and swim lessons to food access and youth development,” said Dr. Shakira Allen, Sr. Business Manager at the Central YMCA. “I am honored to help lead an event that strengthens the YMCA of Delaware’s mission.”
