Kids’ Club Renovation & Temporary Relocation
We’re excited to announce that the Western YMCA is expanding Kids’ Club! Big things are on the way, with more space, more opportunities for fun, and an enhanced experience for families.

- Construction Begins: April 9
- Kids’ Club Closed for Moving: April 11 & 12
- Kids’ Club Opens at YDC (Temporary Location): April 13
- Reopening is expected in mid-July
Temporary Location During Construction
While renovations are underway, Kids’ Club will temporarily relocate to the Youth Development Center (YDC). This allows us to continue providing care for your children throughout the project.
Getting there is easy:
- Make your first right after entering the parking lot
- Follow the drive straight down
- You’ll find the YDC (Youth Development Center) just past the 10-lane outdoor pool.
Check-In Procedures:
- Please park in the designated parking area at the YDC.
- Walk your child to the entrance door. At the double doors, you will find a doorbell located on the right-hand side.
- Press the doorbell button, and a staff member will greet you and complete the check-in process.
- For the safety of all children, we ask that parents/guardians remain with their child until they have been checked in by a staff member.

When the new space is complete, families can look forward to:
- A larger Kids’ Club area designed for movement, creativity, and age-appropriate activities
- An improved layout for easier drop-off and pick-up
- A refreshed, welcoming environment where children can learn, play, and grow

Why are you updating Kids Club?
We’re updating the Kids’ Club to better serve our growing community. This expansion will allow us to create a larger, more engaging space for children, improve the overall flow for families, and enhance the experience for both kids and parents.
Is the lobby being updated too?
The lobby is being refreshed to create a brighter, more open, and welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.
Where will kids’ club be during construction?
During the renovation, Kids Club will temporarily relocate to the Youth Development Center (YDC) beginning April 13th. This will allow us to continue providing a safe and fun environment for your children while improvements are underway.
Will kids’ club hours change?
Kids Club will be closed on April 11th and 12th. Any other adjustments to hours will be communicated in advance—please watch for email updates and in-center signage. We

Yes. Safety remains our top priority. The YDC is a secure, supervised space that meets our YMCA childcare standards.
Will there be capacity limits?
We will monitor capacity to ensure safety and quality care. Any temporary limits will be communicated clearly.
What kids’ club improvements can families expect?

Will the YMCA still be open during construction?
