WHAT: We invite you to join the YMCA of Delaware to celebrate Women’s History Month on Monday, March 20th at the Brandywine YMCA in Wilmington, DE. The event will feature music that celebrates women’s voices, activities, and story sharing and will honor Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.). The Congresswoman will receive the YMCA Congressional Award for her leadership on addressing social determinants of health, youth civics education, and preventing chronic disease to help improve lives throughout the state of Delaware and the rest of the country.
Women’s History Month celebrates the contributions women have made to the United States and recognizes the specific achievements of American women in a variety of field.
