Lewes, Delaware – The Sussex Family YMCA invites the community to its 2nd Annual Bowl for Kids event on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 11:00 am- 5:00 pm at Lefty’s Alley and Eats. This family friendly event has a goal of raising $10,000, which supports the Y’s Annual Campaign.
The YMCA of Delaware’s Annual Campaign provides scholarships to individuals and families in our local community, ensuring that everyone has access to vital programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Sussex Family Y works hard to support the people and neighborhoods who need it most by addressing community issues such as school readiness, chronic diseases and drowning prevention.
“Many people don’t realize the Y is a non-profit charity with a mission to strengthen our community,” said Tamisha Hopkins, Executive Director of the Sussex Family YMCA. “Last year, our branch provided over $120,000 in financial assistance to local adults and families. We want to continue to make an impact and serve more people; our Bowl for Kids Event is a fun way for everyone in the community to help.”
Gather your friends and neighbors, and register your team for $400 (up to six players). Your donation includes an hour and 15 minutes of play, shoe rental, pizza and soda.
