Free Brandywine YMCA Family Field Day

Saturday, September 10th, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Wilmington, DE– Pedal cars, bean bags, soccer balls, hula hoops, and even laundry baskets will be part of the action during the Brandywine YMCA Family Field Day on Saturday, September 10th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The free event, hosted by the Brandywine YMCA Board of Advisors is open to the community and will be held on the sprawling grounds of the Hanby Outdoor Center, located at 35 Chestnut St., in North Wilmington. Volunteers and board members will guide families through games, which will include gaga, pedal car relays, giant tic-tac-toe, lava hop, three-legged races, and more. Refreshments will be served, and a DJ will be on hand.

Situated on 88 acres, the Brandywine YMCA Hanby Outdoor Center features an outdoor pool and is available to members for many activities including swimming, hiking, nature exploration, sports and more. It is also home to YMCA Camp Quoowant, which hosts nearly 300 children per week during the summer months. The Brandywine YMCA proudly provides nearly $500,000 in financial assistance each year, ensuring that everyone, regardless of income, has access to all the Y has to offer. Last year, 1 out of every 10 campers received financial assistance to attend camp and more than 400 children were able to learn, thrive and grow in after school care.
