The first drone soccer match at the Walnut Street YMCA between the DE Drone School and Dronversity is scheduled for Saturday, May 27th at 10 a.m. The Y launched the Drone Soccer program in February, which allows students to learn about aviation, flight and STEAM through a sport. Drone soccer is an indoor team sport where radio-controlled quadcopters are flown by teams of five players within a netted arena. Before competitions, students must build, program, fly and repair the drones.
