YMCA To Help Register Wilmington Voters

Community Voter Registration Event Open To All Eligible Voters In Downtown Wilmington

Wilmington, Delaware – The YMCA of Delaware will hold a Community Voter Registration Event at the Central YMCA in downtown Wilmington on Wednesday, April 17th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event is open to residents of the Central Y, members of the YMCA of Delaware and the community at large.

The Y is excited to provide an accessible and convenient option for community members to register to vote and learn about the voting process.

“Wilmington’s population is steadily growing, as evidenced by the recent increase in capacity at the Central YMCA housing program,” says Nicole Freedman, Executive Director of Government Relations for the YMCA of Delaware. “As we prepare to cast our votes for the many open seats this election, everyone who can vote must be ready to do so. That is why we are removing all barriers for Wilmington residents and the greater community to ensure they are prepared to exercise their most basic and important right, the right to vote.”
