DOVER – The NASCAR Foundation will host its first-ever Speediatrics Fun Day Festival in the Dover area on Thursday, May 2, through a partnership with Dover International Speedway and Dover YMCA.
This NASCAR-themed festival is geared towards inspiring children to lead a healthy lifestyle. In addition to learning about healthy lifestyle habits, children in attendance will participate in field day activities such as Goodyear Tire Race, Gas Can Relay and Pit Crew Challenge alongside active NASCAR drivers, who will encourage them to stay active and eat well, all while having fun.
The festival is one of six events to be held in race markets across the country and is an initiative of The NASCAR Foundation’s Speediatrics Children’s Fund, which supports needs expressed by hospitals, specialty clinics, camps, and others providing children’s medical and health care services.
