Proceeds Benefit Scholarships For Families
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware – The Sussex Family YMCA invites the community to its Inaugural Putt-Putt Golf Tournament at Jungle Jim’s on Sunday, May 21st, at 1:00 pm. This family friendly event is for all ages and aims to raise funds for the YMCA’s Annual Campaign.
The YMCA’s Annual Campaign provides scholarships to individuals and families in our local community, ensuring that everyone has access to vital programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Sussex Family Y works hard to support the people and neighborhoods who need it most by addressing community needs such as school readiness, chronic diseases, and drowning prevention.
“Our Annual Campaign provides a lifeline for so many families in our community,” said Linda Risk, Chief Operating Officer for the YMCA of Delaware. “Whether it be a single mother needing summer camp or before and after care for their child, a cancer survivor looking for companionship and support in our Livestrong program, or our Teens needing a safe place to gather and find mentors, we are here for everyone in our community and want to ensure access to all our programs and services. Our Annual Campaign helps us to achieve this.”
Last year, the Sussex YMCA provided $50,000 in financial assistance and has a goal to increase its impact in 2023, but they need the help of the community to do it. Gather your friends and neighbors, and register as a YMCA golf team of four for $125 or an individual for $30 (we will find you a team). Your donation includes pizza and soft drink, 50/50 raffle, awards ceremony at Thompson Island, and more! The Y is also looking for sponsors. Sponsor a hole for $350 and participate as a foursome team as well as receive great marketing recognition!
