YMCA Celebrates Black History Month and Unity for Equity With Symbolic Tree Planting

WHAT: The YMCA of Delaware will kick off celebrating Black History Month 2021 with the planting of the MLK Tree of Unity for Equity. The MLK Tree of Unity for Equity will represent YMCA’s commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion for all as well as their commitment to developing an anti-racist culture. Additionally, it will serve as a location for the YMCA of Delaware to annually celebrate growth in equity and promote the work to come.

WHERE: The Western Family YMCA – 2600 Kirkwood Highway, Newark, DE 19711 (lower lot behind the pole barn)
